    A Small Piece Of Advice

Spring is “Hanami”! How to see the beautiful cherry blossoms?

One of the most popular spring events in Japan is “Ohanami,” but do you know what it is? It is one of Japanese custom to feel spring under a cherry blossoms with eating lunch boxes and dumplings. Hanami has a long history, at first, it was an event only for aristocrats, but now it has been enjoyed casually with family and friends.

Komemaru family looks enjoying Hanami. However, climbing cherry blossoms are not good manners. Cherry trees are very delicate .If you break or damage a branch, germs can get in from there and it can easily rot. You should also be careful when you sit on a sheet at the bottom of the tree, as this can also cause damage to the roots. At hanami, we tend to drink alcohol and become more open-minded. Remember that the purpose of hanami is to see beauty cherry blossoms. Be sure to observe good manners!

By the way, do you know the word “Hanayori dango”? This word was born from the fact that people are more interested in the dumplings than beautiful cherry blossoms at hanami. Nowadays, it is true that people have barbecues or bring elaborate dishes such as sushi, it is understood why people are more interested in food than flowers. However, the rows of cherry trees in Japan are truly beautiful and elegant. Please try to see them when you have a time.
