    A Small Piece Of Advice

What is the etiquette of elevator?

Komepapa gets scolded by Mana for ignoring line up in order. Even it is not only elevator, you have to line up and keep in order. In crowded places like shopping malls and office buildings, many people need elevators. Especially at the rash hour in the morning, or tourist place, so many people are waiting for an elevator. If it is a the high building, could take a long time to get on the elevator, you might be irritated.

Although, not to line up is a bad manner. Everyone wants to take elevator as soon as possible, and feels annoying when someone is cutting in a line. Besides, priority should be given to the elderly, people with a disability, people using a wheelchair, pregnant women, and people pushing strollers. If the elevator is full and buzzer sounds, the last person who take into it should get off.

By the way, there are some manners to take on and get off the elevator in a business occasion. For example, if you are the lowest position employee, you should take on the elevator first, then push the elevator buttons. Keep pushing “開(Open)” button until all people will finish getting off, and you get off after those. In addition, there are some another rules, where you should stand in the elevator is different for each position of employee, etc. you should learn before starting to work in Japan.
